Hull City Ace Delivers Chris Bedia Verdict As Tigers Demand Sheffield United Win

Hull City ace delivers Chris Bedia verdict as Tigers demand Sheffield United win

Hull City vice-captain Lewie Coyle has heaped praise on in-form goalkeeper Chris Bedia amid the Tigers’ improving fortunes

Bedia has been in fine form for Hull in recent weeks after replacing Matt Ingram as the club’s number one.

The Senegalese stopper produced another impressive display in Saturday’s 1-0 win over Cardiff City

And Coyle believes the 23-year-old is now showing the qualities that can help Hull target a top-six finish in the Championship this season.

“Chris has been excellent since he came into the team,” Coyle told Hull Live.

"He’s made some big saves for us and he’s been a commanding presence in goal.

“He’s still young and he’s still learning, but he’s got all the attributes to be a top goalkeeper.”

Bedia’s form has coincided with a resurgence in results for Hull, who have now won four of their last five matches.

The Tigers are now up to 11th in the Championship table, just four points adrift of the play-off places.

Coyle believes Hull can now target a top-six finish if they can maintain their current form.

"We’ve got a good squad and we’re starting to gel as a team,” he said.

“We’re creating chances and we’re defending well. If we can keep that up, I don’t see why we can’t finish in the top six.”

Hull will be looking to make it five wins in six matches when they travel to Sheffield United on Tuesday night.

The Blades are currently third in the Championship table, but Coyle is confident that Hull can get a result at Bramall Lane.

“Sheffield United are a good side, but we’re going there to win,” he said.

"We know it’s going to be a tough game, but we’re confident in our own ability.

“We’ve got a good away record this season and we’re looking to add to that on Tuesday night.”
