Benedict Hollerbach, a 22-year-old German footballer from Starnberg, has recently signed a contract with 1FC Union Berlin. The attacking player, who can play both as a left winger and a centre-forward, joins the Bundesliga side after a successful stint with SpVgg Unterhaching.
Hollerbach began his professional career in 2019 with Unterhaching, appearing in over 100 matches for the club. His impressive performances in the Regionalliga Bayern, the fourth tier of German football, caught the attention of Union Berlin, who secured his services in 2023.
Known for his speed, agility, and technical ability, Hollerbach is expected to provide an attacking boost to Union Berlin, who are currently vying for a place in the top half of the Bundesliga table. The club's sporting director, Oliver Ruhnert, expressed his excitement about the addition of the young talent to the squad.
